IEA Training
World-class energy training programmes offered by the IEA
The IEA offers interactive training across a range of topics. It features a variety of formats from group training to individual work placements (secondments). Training is offered both at the IEA headquarters, in Paris, and in participing countries. In either case, the aim is to establish ongoing working relationships with participating countries for continual capacity building, as well as two-way information exchange.
Energy Statistics Training Weeks
These courses offer hands-on training in the internationally recognised IEA methodology and tools for collecting and organising national-level energy data by different fuels and sectors of the economy. The training focuses on creating complete and accurate energy balances through the use of consistent definitions and units, in order to inform national energy policy and enable consistent international reporting.
Energy Efficiency Training Weeks
The IEA Energy Efficiency in Emerging Economies (E4) Training Week is a five-day training event dedicated to sharing experience with planning, implementing and evaluating energy efficiency policies in emerging economies.
Launched in 2015, these events have now brought together over 1,000 next generation energy efficiency professionals from more than 90 countries, primarily from government institutions and their supporting organisations in emerging economies.
