1st Meeting of the Global Commission for Urgent Action on Energy Efficiency

Launched in July, the high-level Global Commission for Urgent Action on Energy Efficiency is tasked with producing a list of practical recommendations by summer 2020 to help accelerate policy actions on energy efficiency by countries around the world.
Commission members will hold their first meeting on 4 December in Paris. Their discussions will be informed by IEA analysis and a global survey that gathered views on energy efficiency policy.
Headed by Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, the Global Commission has 23 members, including national leaders, current and former ministers, business executives and prominent international experts.
